Saluting The Vets
A tear rolls down the cheek of H. James Turley, a member of the 1140th Eng. Batallion from Sikeston Missouri, Friday, Sept. 9, 2005 while he hugs his father, Daythal Turley, Commander of Post 6291 in Murray Ky. The two were on hand as they paid tribute to the National Vietnam Veterans Memorial. the replica moving wall will be on display through the weekend in Murray.
Saluting The Vets
W.J. Cannon, left, a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force, along with Ron Dickerson, VFW Commander for Kentucky, salute an American flag presented by the Murray Police Department Friday morning at Chestnut Park. A ceremony was being held for the National Vietnam Veterans Memorial replica that will reside in the park through the weekend.
